Accept the challenge and visit beautiful alpine Lake Bled with the help of a paraglider. You heard right, a paraglider is not just a sport equipment that helps you to “jump from a mountain to a valley”. A paraglider in the hands of an experienced pilot allows us to travel in the air. Take advantage of the experience of the paraglider pilot Matic Erbežnik, wind and thermals and fly like a bird to visit our beautiful alpine lake Bled. The take-off location is determined based on your preferences and weather conditions. The take-off will be about 20-30 km air distance from Lake Bled, which represents just the right challenge for reaching the set goal. The paragliding flight itself has no time limits and can last up to 3 hours. Possible take-offs: Krvavec, Velika Planina, Dobrča, Begunjščica, Stol, Karavanke nad Kranjska Gora, Vogel, Vogar, Kobala, Kobariški Stol and others. The takeoff point is chosen according to the weather conditions and individual wishes.
This adventure is not for everyone. It is suitable for people who already have some experience of walking on hills and are in good physical condition. MEET MATIC ERBEŽNIK
Matic Erbežnik, paraglider pilot and founder of Slovenia Paragliding
Matic has always been in love with nature and sports that take place in nature. The mountains are his living room, and the sea is his hall. He mastered skis at the age of three, and later tried to fly with them. He trained in ski jumping from the age of six to sixteen. He can boast that he jumped over 100 m with skis, which was not enough for him. He wanted to fly even further and replaced his skis with a paraglider. He has been flying since he was fifteen and is one of the most experienced paraglider pilots in Slovenia. It has already spent more than 4,000 hours in the air. The record in the parachute flight is 238 kilometers flown, which means flying in the air for about 9 hours.
In addition to piloting a paraglider, Matic is also proficient in windsurfing. During his student years, he taught for seven years in various windsurfing schools, from Croatia to Greece to Egypt. If Matic is not in the air or in the water, he can be found in the mountains, summer or winter. Mountaineering and downhill skiing give him energy for new ventures.
Matic completed his studies at the Faculty of Sports and is a professor of physical education. He never wanted to become a professor, he enrolled in this faculty because of the study program, which was varied and interesting and full of new challenges.
Since 2014, he has a company in Kranjska Gora that deals with hospitality and tourism. You can find it at the Kekec Ski School, Bike Kekec cycling center or Restaurant Lačni Kekec. You will find out the rest when you meet him :)
